Day at the Water Park

My mama and I took the kids to Splash Down today. It's a great little water park at the campground near our house. I have lived in Meridian for sixteen years and have never been. I don't know why we never did, it's a half mile from my parents' house. Anna Kate and Parker had a great time playing and sliding. They both went down the waterslide by themselves and they loved the lazy river. I'm sure that we'll be back before school starts.

Golfing with Daddy

I took the kids today to meet Neil at the golf course. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room on the cart for me, so I decided to walk around T.J. Maxx. I have to admit that I wasn't too upset about not being outside at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Neil said that they had a great time playing and they beat the after work crowd. You think Anna Kate is used to posing for the camera?

State Games of Mississippi

Anna Kate played in the State Games of Mississippi this year. Our first game was at 7 then one at 10, 2, and 5. We had a great time watching her play her heart out. She was so tough!

Soccer Camp

Anna Kate and Parker had a great time at soccer camp last week. Parker played soccer from 9:00 to 10:30 and Anna Kate played until 12:00. We were all worn out by the end of the week.

Pigtail Pirates

Anna Kate is finished playing with the Pigtail Pirates. Oh no, softball is not over! She is now practicing with a traveling tournament team.

Uncle Garrett and Aunt Cooper

The kids and I rode to Starkville with my parents to visit with Garrett and Cooper. Garrett was in his friend Sean's wedding. Anna Kate and Parker loved showing out for their Uncle Garrett. Wednesday will be a big day for them. They will find out what they're having and where they will be in the next few years. Anna Kate and Parker are looking forward to meeting their cousin.

Sweet Babies

Yes, I'm blogging after midnight! I probably shouldn't drink Diet Mountain Dew at night. I've been looking at old pictures tonight and found the sweetest one of Anna Kate and Parker the day he came home from the hospital. They love each other so much! My mama said that Garrett and I were the same way when we were little. Anna Kate is really a little mama to her brother. She helps him so much and he has always looked up to her. I hope that they always have such a close relationship. I remember she was so upset two Mother's Days ago because she didn't get a gift. Neil and I explained to her that she has to be a mommy before she can get a gift on Mother's Day. She quickly replied, "But Aunt Cooper calls me Little Mama."

Happy Birthday to ME

Crawfish Boil and Swimming

Neil's parents hosted a crawfish boil at their house yesterday. We ate entirely too much crawfish! The chldren and some adults had a great time swimming at the Howell's before and after eating.

Getting Ready for State Games

Anna Kate will be playing in the State Games of Mississippi in two weeks. Her team played in a scrimmage game against another team from Meridian. The game began at 8:00 and was very hot. I don't see how those girls can run and play for so long. She is excited because her team will participate in the opening ceremonies of the games and she will be in the parade of athletes.

Six Flags and the Braves

These are some pictures of the kids at Six Flags. We went to Atlanta over Memorial Day weekend with my parents and had a great time at Six Flags and the Braves game. It was great to have Meme and Paw Paw with us because Neil and I were able to ride a few roller coasters.

WLE Award's Day

I'm so sorry for being so behind on my posting. These are pictures of Award's Day at Anna Kate's school. Her teacher called and invited us because she said Anna Kate would be receiving an award. We thought that she might get the girl's citizenship award. We were all so surprised and proud when she received the highest honors award. Our baby had the highest average in her class! Neil always picks on me saying that our kids get their athletic abilities from their daddy. I was quick to point out that she got something from me, too!
