The Sanfords

I had to post this picture because I don't think my brother thought that I was serious when I told him how much stuff we have in our yard. My parents and Neil's parents were over tonight unloading stuff and I told my daddy that we looked like the Clampitts and he told me that it was more like Sanford and Son. We are worn out and ready to make some deals tomorrow morning.

Moving Sale

Have you ever seen so much junk? We are having our big moving sale tomorrow morning. This is about a third of what we are getting rid of. Neil and I are asking ourselves why we saved so much stuff. If we can get rid of this tomorrow, we shouldn't have such a hard time moving. Think of us while your peacefully sleeping tonight and tomorrow morning because we will be sweating and working.

Batman Returns

Parker had another opportunity to wear his beloved Batman costume. It's a good thing because he has already ripped the back of it for taking it off and on. I don't think it will make it for Halloween. The party was a superhero party and the birthday boy was dressed as Batman, too.

Our Rocky

This past week has been a sad one at our house. We gave Rocky, our seven year old cocker spaniel away. I'm not the most passionate person when it comes to dogs, but it was very upsetting. The kids adore him and he adored them, but he was really aggressive. He had to be put away or sent to Neil's parents' house if we had company over. The new house doesn't have a fenced yard and there are small children that live next door. It's hard to get used to him not being around. The picture of Anna Kate and Neil is the night before he went to his new home and the picture of Parker is the morning that Neil took him.

Busy Busy!!

It seems like I've taken a break from blogging and I need to get back into it. We have been so busy around our house! Neil and I finally found a house, so we had to get ours ready in a hurry. Our house is now under contract and we should be moving in a few weeks. We started pulling boxes down from the attic last night to get ready for our big moving sale. It's amazing how much JUNK we have accumulated in almost 10 years of marriage. I've been going through baby clothes and it's so hard to decide what to get rid of. My sister-in-law is having a girl and a friend is having a boy this fall, so I'm saving some cute stuff for them. I'll be posting more in the next few days.

Mallory's Birthday Party

Anna Kate and Parker had a great time swimming at Mallory's birthday party. As you can see, Parker is Batman without his cape.

Navy Blazer

Parker is usually wearing his Batman costume or this navy blazer. I found it on clearance at Belk's and it is the best $5 I've every spent. He wears it around the house and always wants to wear it to church. I don't know if you can tell, but he's wearing it with just underwear. He will walk around the house all day if we let him.

K.I.C.K. in Gulfport and Hattiesburg

Anna Kate went on her first trip with the 1st-6th graders at church. They went to the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport and to the Hattiesburg Zoo. She has become so independent lately and didn't want me to go with her. Her friend, McLain, went and they had a blast. Anna Kate hurt my feelings when she said she didn't want me to ride with her on the bus. McLain's mama, Regan, and I drove down and went to the outlet mall and then met the group in Hattiesburg.

Batman

It looks like Halloween at our house this week. My parents ordered Parker a Batman costume and he doesn't want to ever take it off. He decided that he wants to have a Superhero birthday party and he wants everyone to dress up. Parker was so upset when he had a birthday invitation in the mail today and it was for a Superhero party. Anna Kate and I told him that he could still have a Batman party, but he is still sad about it.

WWE Raw

Neil, his brother, and several guys from church went to watch WWE Raw in New Orleans. They took my sweet boy with them. Parker loves to wrestle with his daddy and watch it on t.v., but was a little nervous about going to see the real thing. He had a great time once he was there and told me about all the wrestlers and what they did.

Mississippi Braves

Last weekend was very busy for our family. Anna Kate and I went to Charlottesville, VA, with my parents. We visited Garrett and Cooper and had a great time. We swam, Garrett and mama painted Anne Allen's room, and we ate! While the girls were away, the boys went to see the MS Braves on the 4th. Neil said that Parker had a great time playing and that the fireworks were wonderful. The boys had the camera, so I didn't get to take any pictures. Meme took a few of Anna Kate, so I'll have to post those later.
