Bless Your Hearts Banquet

The children at our church hosted a banquet for the senior adults. Anna Kate and her friends, Edie and McLain, were part of the entertainment. They were backup dancers for a duet. The girls had a great time and were so cute.

Soccer

The second half of Anna Kate's soccer season started last Saturday. She's now playing on two different teams. Neil moved her up to the next league and she's still playing on the younger team. He's coaching both teams that she's playing on. We're going to be very busy next year when Parker's playing.

First Kiss

We found out last week that Parker kissed a girl at school. He has been infatuated with a little girl in his class. Her name is Hollyn and he talks about her all the time. Well, Parker took his chance when the teacher's back was turned and planted a big one on Hollyn. Not once, but twice. I asked him what she said when he kissed her and he said, "My liked that." Neil is so proud that his son is a lady's man.

Art

I have had the best time at art. I didn't know if I would be able to do it, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. I just wanted to share some of the things I've been doing. My first exercise was the apple. I liked painting the apple, but didn't realize how tough it would be. I then had to paint a jug. I didn't really enjoy painting this one. My teacher told me that these are not paintings, just exercises. My hardest painting has been the truck in the woods. I had to copy an artist's work step-by-step. I didn't realize how much was going on in the picture. I just completed a still life of three pears this week. I'll update when I finish more.
