We had a great Easter at home with our family. Neil's parents, his brother and sister-in-law, Myles and Katie Grace, and my parents all came to our house for lunch today. We ate lunch and had about 4 egg hunts. The kids hunted eggs in the front and backyard and hid eggs for the adults, too. We had a great time, but missed Garrett and Cooper.
Anna Kate and Parker have been in and out of the house today while I've been trying to do a little cleaning. I just walked outside and checked on them a little while ago and they were playing school. I don't know if you can see, but they have Anna Kate's babies and Parker's feet covered with a jacket so that they won't get cold.
One of Anna Kate's friends gave Parker an ant farm for his birthday. The ants came in the mail yesterday and they were so excited to put them inside the farm. When we woke up this morning, they had already dug several tunnels.
Parker will be playing buddy ball this spring. The coach pitches the ball to the hitter and brings out the tee if it takes more than five swings. Parker is so excited to play ball this year. He had his first practice Tuesday night. Neil said that he did well, but was very interested in the grass.
Neil, Parker, and my daddy went to the baseball game Sunday in Starkville. They had a great time cheering for the bulldogs. Parker gets so excited whenever he is at a ballgame.
We had a great time in Crested Butte during Spring Break. Neil and I had fun skiing with Anna Kate. Parker was in ski school the first day, but dropped out. His instructor called Neil while we were skiing and told him that he needed to pick Parker up. He was refusing to put on the skis. Our families thought this was hilarious when we told them the news. Parker did put his skis on and went over some little hills with Neil. He loved it and told everyone that he went down a big mountain and didn't even fall down. We hope to have better luck next year.
Anna Kate and Parker had their Easter pictures taken this afternoon at Wayne Rawson's. They were both really sweet and smiled this year. Anna Kate was thrilled to hold the bunny and a baby goat was even in the picture with them. My mama had her camera with her and snapped a few pics after they finished. Meme made Anna Kate's dress this year. We are so thankful that she is so talented.
