Anna Kate played in her first softball game of the season. At her first at bat, she hit a double and then she hit a home run the second time. We were so proud of her!

Rodeo

Anna Kate invited two of her friends, Abby Grace and McLain, to go to the rodeo with us Saturday night. We all had a great time, but were a little cold when the sun went down. Parker is going to invite a friend to go with him to the next one in August.

More Pics of Field Trip

First Grade Field Trip

Anna Kate and Neil went on the first grade field trip today. They traveled to Folsom, LA to visit the Global Wildlife Center. Nine first grade classes left this morning at 6:15 and everytime I talked to Neil, the kids were so loud. He said that now he understands what I go through everyday at work. FINALLY after nine years!!! They fed camels, deer, giraffes, and some more that I don't know the names of. The group also went to an alligator farm. Anna Kate was able to hold a baby alligator. Neil said that it was a great day, but he was tired. I know that Anna Kate was glad to have her daddy with her today.

Last Soccer Game

Anna Kate's soccer season ended on Saturday. She had a great time moving up to the next league and playing with the big girls.

First Game

Parker had a great time playing ball last week. We are so proud of him because he stopped several balls and didn't have to use the tee. He had some great hits! It was funny watching him slide into every base he ran to. As you can tell by the pictures, he had fun.

Parker's Uniform

Parker and Neil came in from baseball practice tonight and surprised with me this new uniform. I don't know if we'll ever get it off of him. He has games on Thursday and Friday and they should be quite entertaining. It's hard to believe that our little baby that we just brought home from the hospital is already playing buddy ball.

Anna Kate's New Do

The Cotneys were here for a visit last weekend. We finally talked Anna Kate into getting her hair cut short. Sid cut a few inches off and it is so cute. She came home from school on Monday and told us that a boy chased her around the playground. Neil told her that he better not hear about that again.

I happened to have my camera in the van on Sunday. I turned around and saw my sweet babies snuggling. The first picture is of what I first saw and then they realized I was taking their picture. They really know how to ham it up for the camera.

Blue Angels

The Blue Angels were in Meridian last weekend. This is the first time that Parker and I have been to an air show. Neil's daddy, brother, and Myles and Katie Grace went with us. John McCain was there, but we didn't see him. Neil did see him the next day while he was at work.

I told my class about going to see the Blue Angels. Several of my children went and told me all about it. One little girl said that she hadn't ever seen a Blue Angel, but they have White Angels at her church. I thought that was the cutest thing for her to say.

Anna Kate and Mallory

Anna Kate's U8 soccer team played her Mallory's team a few weeks ago. It was the first time that the girl's haven't been on the same team. This also means that Neil and Billy coached against each other.
