Six Flags has a new Thomas the Train kid's attraction. We were very lucky to catch it because it's only been open for a week. We rode Thomas around the track twice and made it out of the Thomas store without buying one thing.

Country Came to Town
We went to see Bucky Covington and Kellie Pickler last Thursday night. Our local country radio station celebrated its 50th birthday with a free concert. We were surprised at how good Bucky was and Kellie was so cute. I think we had more fun people watching than actually watching the concert. When you have a free concert at the Lauderdale County Ag Center, you are guaranteed to see all kinds and we certainly did.

My Other Babies
My class had our end of the year program on Monday. The children all did a great job singing and remembering their part. This has to be one of the sweetest classes that I've ever had. This is a picture of them going on a bear hunt. They had a blast! I'm really getting old, I just finished my ninth year of teaching.

Mean Face
This is Parker's mean face when he plays ball. Neil always tells him to be tough when he hits the ball. He was especially tough tonight. He fought with his team mate for the ball. Neil said that Parker had the boy in a head lock. Too much wrestling at our house! The little boy was saying that he couldn't get up. Neil said he then realized what Parker had done. He told him that he couldn't do that anymore and my precious boy said, "But my wanted that ball!"

First Grade Class Party
Anna Kate's class party was today. It was a cookout and families were invited. I was very lucky that my nice principal let me leave for a few hours to be with Anna Kate. She received certificates today for never having a card moved (discipline) all year, straight A's, and A.R. Mrs. Boyd, her teacher, has been great and Anna Kate adores her. We are looking forward to our summer at home!

She's a Big Girl Now
Anna Kate and I were at Wal-Mart today and I asked her if she wanted to go look at the earrings. We have attempted to get ears pierced once, but she was too nervous and said that she would when she turned seven. Anna Kate decided that she was going to go ahead and do it. I was so nervous for her because I just knew that she would start crying and not get the other ear pierced. I held her hand and my big girl didn't even flinch. I can't believe that I even had my camera in my purse. We've already told her that she is forbidden to get any other part of her body pierced.

Missions Recognition
Anna Kate and Parker were in the Missions Recognition service tonight at church. Anna Kate received her GA's charm bracelet tonight and Parker received a certificate for participating in Mission Friends. Parker wasn't as lively as he was at his school program. These pictures were taken after the program. The little girl with Anna Kate is her sweet friend McLain. Can you see where Parker cut his hair?

Mother's Day
I had a great day being with my sweet children and husband. We went to church, had a great lunch, the kids swam, and visited Meme and Nanny. Can't believe that I actually made it into a picture!

My Boys
I walked into our bedroom Saturday night and this is what I found. Parker will fall asleep anywhere.

Almost Finished
I've been working so hard on this painting. It started as a class project. We were to all paint with Mrs. Busbee, but I was the last to finish. I just need to make a few touch ups and sign it next week. I love geraniums, but I'm sick of looking at them. Our class ends at the end of the month with a show. I'm looking forward to painting more in the fall.

Class Clown
We had a great time watching Parker singing in his Spring program at school on Tuesday night. I think that he had a better time than us! I don't know what got into him, but he was being a clown. He constantly bothered the little boy standing next to him, made silly faces, and danced the whole time. He did all of this with his eyes on us the entire time. If he was looking for our attention, he definitely had it!

Spring Sing at Church
Anna Kate and Parker sang at church Sunday night. They were both so cute and did a great job singing. Yes, those kids standing with Parker are in his class and they are all around the same age.

Neil and Parker
Neil and Parker before last week's game. It's hard to believe that Parker has grown so much. He isn't a baby anymore!
